RECENT RELEASES - February 2012

MJ Fortis

pump clip Ilkley Brewery's MJ Fortis is a full bodied stout that readers in and around Leeds can sample at the city's stew and oyster bar, Calls Landing. MJ Fortis has been added to the range at the riverside venue as a local alternative to a certain other well-known stout, a traditional match for oysters. Calls Landing is keen to use locally sourced produce where possible and says "Ilkley Brewery is under 20 miles from Calls Landing so, coupled with the fact they brew excellent, award-winning beer, it was a natural choice for us to serve MJ Fortis which pairs perfectly with our fresh oysters." MJ Fortis is one of three craft beers in the MJ Artisan Ales range which was launched in November last year with MJ Pale and MJ Summit IPA. The brewery says MJ Fortis "appeals to those who like dark, thick, substantial beer. The stout is 4.1% ABV and is made with Bramling Cross and Galena hops which give a rich and creamy finish with aromas of chocolate, coffee and berries."
