Thatcher's, Katy Single Varietal Cider (England) William John Thatcher started making cider for his farm workers in 1904, and today Thatcher's of Sandford in Somerset remains an independent family concern. Katy is a dessert apple, and when pressed for cider gives a fresh, clean flavour. Katy is light in colour and body. Dry, crisp, delicate, fragrant and feminine. Ideal as an accompaniment to white meat, but also excellent for afternoon quaffing.

The result is an intensely 'appley' drink with a light sparkle, full-bodied yet mellow, well-rounded and traditional, with depth and profound notes of oak.
